New HD - XD SONY PMW350
It's the camera with an HD giant-killer reputation, and it's available at Travmatt. It's the new Sony EX350 camcorder, or more correctly, the PMW-350 (PMW350K).
This camera has set the cat amongst the pigeons! It's the latest offering in Sony's EX XDcam range, and the first EX with three 2/3" full HD CMOS sensors. This means, it takes full-broadcast B4 HD lenses. It's only 7.4kg on the shoulder, and two-stops faster than the EX3 - with images that reputedly beat the upscale PDW700 XDcam & F900R HDcam!
It offers over & under-cranking options (1-60 fps), and PAL & NTSC frame-rates, recording to the tapeless EX XD platform. To further boost image quality to 4:2:2 HD clarity, the EX350 feeds directly to the Convergent Design NanoFlash recorder.
