POWER BALANCE BAND

It's the black magic on the sports field in 2010, endorsed by athletes the world over. It's the Power Balance Band. Does it truly aid higher performance, or is it simply a placebo? Travmatt headed out for several days filming with leading Australian athletes, for their take on the band's powers.

The shoot covered NRL rugby league superstar Benji Marshall, high-jumper Claire Mallett, and the surf-lifeguards of hit reality tv show Bondi Rescue. All were put through their paces in a tough couple of hours. A work in progress, the spots will be used primarily as in-store and viral spots, with possible tvc applications in the future.

Shot in HD on Travmatt's Sony PMW350 XDcam (EX350), it was the camera's first job out of the box - drawing upon its 60fps slo-mo & high-shutter capabilities. Inter-cut with the EX350, were two Hero Go-Pro HD mini-cameras, recording at 720/60p. Shot by DP Matthew GORMLY, with Sound by Jason WAGNER & Maurice CARVAJAL, and Camera Assistant Clint WILLIAMS.
