AC/DC ROLLS ROYCE

- Feb 2010

In Sydney preparing for the upcoming tour, AC/DC frontman Brian JOHNSON teamed up with Rolls Royce, and headed out on the town for a day.

The first of a three-part 'great drives of the world' series with Rolls Royce (UK), JOHNSON took a ritzy Phantom Drophead Coupe around Sydney's landmarks, inc. the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach. Along the way, the rock & roll legend shared his thoughts and experiences of the Emerald City, his time with AC/DC, and his motor-racing exploits.

JOHNSON impressed all with his application throughout the day, his constant good humour, and hilarious hijinks Ð and was a hit with the fans.

The single-day production saw DP Matthew GORMLY serving a repeat UK client as a one-man band. Captured on Digital Betacam with Lectrosonic UHF wireless mic, 2 x Hero Go-Pro HD mini-cams, and car-mounts supplied by Travelling Matt. Sydney Harbour Bridge aerials were stabilised with Travmatt's KenLab K8 gyroscope - a quick and efficient solution.
