ACO / CLASSICAL DESTINATIONS

Serving the arts series “Classical Destinations”, Matthew GORMLY DP’d four classical music performances by members of the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO). It was a tremendous shoot, where the immense talent of the ACO musicians inspired all on set.

Lead by Artistic Director & lead violinist Richard Tognetti, the four segments included performances by Richard within a quartet, accompanied by piano, and alongside Finn violinist Satu Vanska.

The performances were filmed during an actual audio recording. There was no playback on this one, just refined talent - and a very quiet crew.

Each score received a unique look, with minimal set and major lighting changes. Shot over two-days at Trackdown Studios (Fox Studios), recorded on Sony HDcam F900R.
