A campaign shot by Matthew Gormly has again won Gold at the 2007 Promax BDA ANZ conference.
Repeating last year’s triumph in the same category, Foxtel’s Area 51 won for Best Interactive Promo for “Closed Captioning” – directed & produced by the illustrious Dei EL-AYOUBI. Sound & invaluable assistance on the day by Jason WAGNER.
Featuring two 30-sec promos titled “Rocker” and “Sophia”, both spots were shot within an 8-hour day in the same space. The Foxtel recreation room received a dramatic facelift over lunch to serve both spots. Well-acted by a 6yo youngster, and the familiar Jim PIKE.
For Matt, this win mirrors Channel V’s “V for Me” Gold in the category in 2006, and makes a tally of three Gold & two Silver since 2004. Congratulations to Dei & the Area 51 team.
