With CNBC Asia's 'Squawk Australia' launch in April, Travelling Matt was commissioned to enhance the business update's colour.

Over consecutive dawns, Matt Gormly filmed atmospheric sequences depicting the awakening of Sydney, and the start of the business day - from a glorious Bondi sunrise, to the pristine harbour and bustling city. The cinematic 5 to 15 sec spots roll-in to commercial breaks and feature single panoramic frames, time-lapses & montage.

The two-part brief also called for a switch to standard ENG imagery. As the dawn faded and the morning-commute petered out, the filtration was packed away to gather B-Roll throughout the CBD, and establish the shows overlay library.

All filming was undertaken on Digital Betacam, with post-production in Singapore.
